Features​

Map Location Fields​

We would like to introduce a new field type for Rapid lists, Geography. These fields can store the Latitude and Longitude of a location.

Adding the fields to a page will now present the map location stored. Clicking a location will set it as required.

For the report writers out there, these are stored as Geography fields using WKT POINT format. For those of you interested in getting these points into PowerBI you will need to cast them for the built-in Map visual. For example:

Improvements​

• Creating a new process via upload will now pre-fill the title
• Altering permissions on items now requires at minimum edit permission to perform
• Permissions synced to SharePoint will now expand the groups and create individual permissions where required
• Updated Support chat-bot to new long-term model for better speed

Bug Fixes​

• Execute workflow menu actions that contain inputs with a lookup to the current item will no longer crash on submission
• Recovered Ctrl+Enter shortcut to submit Activity Feeds notes, as it was just adding a new line before
• Support chat bot can answer your queries again

Split values to choice and radio controls in Adaptive​

We've introduced the ability to assign split values to adaptive radio buttons and choices, enabling users to define a value that differs from the displayed label. This is particularly useful in scenarios where descriptive labels are used for user input, but numerical values are needed for backend processing or analysis. Users can now click the link icon when editing a choice or radio option to separate the label from its value, allowing them to store meaningful data directly without relying on post-submission conversion.

Embedded File Access in Public Forms​

Users can now seamlessly open embedded files directly from Public Forms. When accessing a form that includes an embedded document, the file opens in SharePoint, allowing users to edit the document in real time. Any changes made are instantly synchronised with SharePoint, ensuring live updates across connected platforms.

Authenticated Forms​

We've introduced support for authenticated Adaptive Documents. You can now configure a User Task in Workflow to require login before accessing an Adaptive Document. This enhancement updates the User Task configuration panel with three new toggles, offering greater control over document access and behaviour.

Only principals will be granted access to authenticated forms, ensuring secure and role-based visibility. Additionally, user fields will now automatically populate when an authenticated form is used, streamlining data entry

New Feature: Dynamic Lookup Field Data Binding​

Smarter Pages with Lookup-Driven Auto-Fill​

• You can now configure lookup fields to automatically populate other fields in the same record.
• Perfect for scenarios such as:
  • Selecting a project template to instantly apply default settings.
  • Choosing a material in a quote item to pull in pricing or specifications from a price book.
• Creates a dynamic link between reference data and active inputs, minimizing manual entry and improving data accuracy.

How to Configure Lookup Data Binding​

1. In Designer, go to the table containing your lookup column.
2. Open the lookup column’s configuration panel.
3. Enable Data Binding.
4. Map the fields from the lookup’s source table to the corresponding fields in your destination table.

New Features​

• Create Permission Granularity
  Introduced a "Create" permission type, allowing Keypers to fine-tune which users or groups can create list items.

• Additive Permissions Model
  Permissions are now additive, meaning "Allow" permissions take precedence across group memberships. This ensures users in higher-privileged roles retain appropriate access even when also part of more restricted groups (i.e. All Staff Group).

• Lodash Expression in Send Email Task
  Resolved an issue where array-handling Lodash expressions in the CC field were not resolving correctly.

• Neighbour Data Table Crash on Datasource Change
  Fixed a crash that occurred when changing a data table’s datasource with a linked neighbour table.

• Groups in Adaptive If-Then Causing Crashes
  Prevented crashes caused by group logic placed within If-Then validation conditions in Adaptive.

• Disabled Save Button in Inline Editing

  Users can now access public forms for non-file purposes without requiring administrative consent, enabling streamlined form distribution.

• Column-Based Filtering on Boards and Lists

  • Users can now update multiple records simultaneously via data tables.

• Disable CSV Export on Data Tables

Introducing Rapid Platform Release 1.51.0. This update implements an overhaul to our Page Designer, refines numerous Adaptive v3 controls and enhances payment collection via persistent forms. See below for more details:

New Features​

• Page Designer Overhaul: We've made a major upgrade to how pages in Explorer are configured! This update improves usability by enhancing how fields can be placed and resized. Page fields in the Designer now correctly obey the placement indicator, resulting in a faster and smoother user experience.
• Persistent Form Payment Collection: Users can now collect payments through a persistent form link, simplifying recurring transactions and payment processing.

Bug Fixes​

• Lookup Flyouts in Forms: Flyouts on lookup components now follow the target container properly when scrolling on the page.
• Choice Control Color Persistence: Fixed an issue where choice colors set in Adaptive V3 disappeared after navigating away and back to the configuration panel.
• Adaptive V3 Element Naming: Fixed an issue where renaming an element in the tree caused the name to revert unexpectedly.
• Adaptive V3 Control Logic Fixes:
  • NULL Target Values & Operators: Operators such as "omit" now function correctly when the target value is NULL.
